¿Cómo funciona el verbo “to be”?
SUBJECT PRONOUNS
When people speak, they often push two words together. A contraction - two words that are pushed together.
Be and not can be contracted. Note that "I am" has only one contraction with be.
Las contracciones del verbo to be se presentan en su forma positiva y negativa:
Para iniciar con el aprendizaje del verbo to be es necesario saber cuáles son los pronombres personales o “SUBJECT PRONOUNS”.
I = Yo, You = Tú, She = Ella, He = Él, It = se usa para hablar de una cosa, un lugar o un animal (no existe en español), We = Nosotros, You = Ustedes, They = Ellos.

CONJUGACIÓN VERBO TO BE
(Presente)
El verbo to be (ser o estar) se conjuga con los pronombres personales de la siguiente manera:
I am = Yo soy / Yo estoy; You are = Tú eres / Tú estás / Usted está; She is = Ella es / Ella está; He is = Él es / Él está; It is = Eso es / Eso está; We are = Nosotros somos / Nosotros estamos; You are = Ustedes son / Ustedes están; They are = Ellos son / Ellos están.

La estructura del verbo to be se puede reconocer de tres formas: afirmación, negación e interrogación.
Pronouns: I, you, she, he, it, we, they

Contractions of a subject pronoun + be are used in both speaking and writing.
PUNCTUATION: The mark in the middle of a contraction is called an "apostrophe" (')*.
Note: Write an apostrophe above the line. Do not write an apostrophe on the line.
